Meet the Team

Founder & CEO
Lauren Elizabeth Harris
Lauren Elizabeth Harris is an award-winning actor, producer and founder of Pathway Pictures. She has starred in numerous roles on film, television and on the stage. Pathway's projects include Pink Moon (directed by SXSW alum Carol Brandt and starring Blu Del Barrio of Star Trek), Bat Sheva Guez's Babies of Luna Park (The Gotham's "Series Creators to Watch"), Sheepwell, (directed by Kim Caicedo and starring Connor Paolo, Michole Briana White and Alix Lapri), Friends Wanted, starring Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid), and Cece Wheeler's Winners and Losers, which received the Indian Paintbrush Grant. She also wrote, produced, and co-starred in a feminist web-series titled It's A Girl Thing, that was highly regarded in over 14 international film festivals. Her film Defining Dodo won the LGBTQ Voices Award at the HBO Sponsored Latino Film Festival. Lauren also received the prestigious Arthur Krim Memorial Award for distinction in Creative Producing.
She has worked for Steve Buscemi's Olive Productions, Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches, Voltage Pictures and Double Nickel. She is honored to be a board member of SheNYC, a member of Women in Film, associate member of WIP, and former New York Events Leader for Film Fatales.
She holds a BA in Acting and Spanish from the University of Southern California, and an MFA in Creative Producing in Film from Columbia University. As an actor, she has trained at The British American Dramatic Academy in London, England, The Berridge Conservatory in Normandy, France, and The Pig Iron Theatre Company in Philadelphia, PA. In Los Angeles, she has studied with Lesly Kahn, Margie Haber, Judy Kain, Annie Grindlay, Ivana Chubbuck Studios, and is currently in the Writer's Lab of Groundlings.
Personally, Lauren has traveled to over 40 countries and studied in 5. She is an avid hiker & skier, a certified scuba diver, a self-proclaimed foodie and a dog mom to a rescue named Ernest "Ernie" Worthing

Crystal Navellier
Head of Development
Crystal Navellier is a producer and cinematographer from Florida with a background in independent film, television, and digital media. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a degree in Performing and Media Arts and a minor in Business, and recently completed her MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University’s School of the Arts.

Her work spans development, production, and visual storytelling, with experience as director of photography on numerous projects, including the award-winning series Sex Shop, which received recognition for Best Web/TV Series and was selected for the Prague International Film Awards. She also produced the short horror film Couples Retreat, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival.

As a writer and director, Crystal has created several narrative short films, including Libre, a psychological horror, and Hula Girl, a coming-of-age drama that earned her the Best Young Filmmaker award from the New York Film Awards.

She was awarded a Student Emmy for her work on a collaborative news broadcast project honoring the anniversary of 9/11, recognized for its excellence in production and storytelling.

Crystal previously worked as a Digital Content Producer at Dial Tone Films, where she led the development of branded and original content. She now serves as Head of Development at Pathway Pictures, where she oversees the company’s creative strategy and project slate across film and television. She is particularly passionate about championing female-led narratives and expanding access to authentic representation in media.

Maya Mohan
Development Assistant
Maya Mohan is a Development Assistant at Pathway Pictures with a strong academic background and growing expertise in film and television production. She graduated from New York University in 2024 with degrees in Economics and Public Policy, complemented by a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.
Midway through her academic career, Maya identified a clear passion for the entertainment industry, prompting her to gain practical experience as a production assistant on a variety of projects, including student films and independent features. Following her graduation, she joined Pathway Pictures as Production Coordinator on the feature film Sheepwell. She currently supports the development team by managing script coverage, project coordination, and facilitating communication between creative and production departments, playing an integral role in advancing the company’s creative vision.
In addition to her work at Pathway Pictures, Maya holds a full-time position as an Advertising Sales Assistant at AMC Networks, where she applies her analytical and organizational skills to support sales strategy and client relations within a leading media company.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Maya combines her analytical skills with a keen interest in storytelling and media development. Outside of her professional pursuits, she maintains a personal commitment to the arts through dance, writing, and engagement with New York City’s comedy scene.
